Q for post partum mammas

Thread Starter
Is it normal to have an intense back ache that comes and goes (lower back and hips)? Esp. when you lay down or move a certain way. It has gotten really bad for me. Is it the result of pushing or is it part of the uterine cramps?

How do you treat it? I am trying to avoid pain killers so far I have but is that the only way or do chiro's help? Also is this a bad sign? Just didn't expect it.

TIA!

Oh my, I came on here to ask this VERY question! This is #3 for me and I never had this hip/pelvic pain before. I think its from laying around so much, Im taking it super easy because my iron is low. Im thinking of a chiro appt.
Hope someone has some answers.

Me too. I think too much time in bed trying to avoid sitting. I'm hoping to see my chiro today too.

also, i had terrible back labor so i assumed it was muscular soreness from my uterus working so hard.

i'll also be trying to get to my chiro this week.

Mine was really sore if I stand/sit/lay in 1 spot for too long. I think I had pulled a muscle in my back because of back labor. I had some prescription Motrin that really helps.
