s/o of totallt burned out...tell me about your LO!

So, in another thread, one mama asked another to tell us about her LO beyond the eczema and other allergy symptoms, and it inspired me, I think we need this thread. I know I have been so wrapped up in what her poop looks like and her eczema flares etc etc that I feel like I'm missing my DD growing up before me....
So, tell me about your allergic little one. What new skills have they learned lately, what are their interests, what makes them laugh or smile?

Liberty is my food allergic DD, she will be 4 months Nov 3rd. She loves being tickled on her chest, raspberries on her belly, and even more than that she LOVES hearing her sister sing, it makes her giggle She almost always wakes up with a smile on her face, even if the rest of the day is miserable, its like shes just so happy to be awake and surrounded with love
She is currently facinated by the cats, her feet, and her 2yo sister, and has just learned to roll over both ways

What a great idea.

Jayden is my food allergic babe, and she just turned 1 year!! She also just learned to walk a few weeks ago, so I am very busy chasing her around the house.

She also is a very happy baby (when not reacting to foods), and loves being around other people- especially other babies. She will wave to anyone that makes eye contact, and even some who don't. She's got a beautiful smile, and beautiful blue eyes. She is quite the charmer.

Thanks- this was a really good idea. It's nice to talk about something other than poop.

Finley will be 18 months old on Christmas day. She is walking/running all over the place, talking/signing, singing/dancing, reading all day long. She LOVES other children/babies and is a very sweet, easy going girl (along with the requisite brief tantrums when things don't go her way) who is quick to smile and laugh yet wants nothing to do with strangers other than very small ones. She loves the bath, snuggling with her blankies and listening to me sing (she's the only one). And, do I even need to say it...this kid is REALLY CUTE! (As they all are, I know.)

My Taslyn turned 15 months old today! She is an adventurer... she loves mountains, airplanes, animals and kids. She climbs like a monkey, cruises cross country like a four-wheel drive, and is a total water baby.

She's growing up way too fast and someday I hope she gets to be a big sister... oh, and three times in the last two weeks she has skipped her nap altogether- and we were none the worse for wear.

Last night she slept 14 hours straight and today she was up for 11 hours. Isn't she a little young for this? Alas, she is who she is, and she will be who she will be. My little bug...

Luke (4yo) is a crazy wild man. He is the best climber I know and as the saying goes has never met a stranger. He loves running, jumping, kicking, bike riding- anything physical. He loves being my kitchen helper, especially when I let him operate the beaters.

Lily(18mo) is a bit of a shy one, but once she is warmed up she talks nonstop. She doesn't say many words yet, but she has a way of making you know what she wants. She is becoming a total daddy's girl and dh totally melts when she wants him to hold her. She is always trying to keep up w/ Luke, but is very much her own person. She loves digging and animals (but only if they stay 3 ft away!).

I is 11 (and not allergic, but I'm going to talk about her anyway). She LOVES to read (she's the only one I know who reads more than I do). She's in the school play this year, plays basketball, loves her little sister (though thinks her little brother is annoying), swims like a mermaid (also loves driving the boat and tubing), is very creative, and thinks her mom should open a restaurant or B&B. She loves to play Iron Chef (complete with scorecards) and instead of a secret ingredient each time, it just has to be "safe" for everyone.

S is 8. He loves legos and building, biking, skateboarding, and anything that rips holes in clothes or gets everything filthy. He loves to surf on his boogeyboard and go kayaking. He walked before 9 months and has been running ever since. He's a big Yankees fan and still loves to cuddle on laps. He'll also talk your ear off if you let him. He loves math and science experiments.

G is 3.5 and has always been a maniac (which is probably why she broke 2 bones before she is 2, jumping off things). She gets into EVERYTHING. I don't even remember the last time she took a nap. She potty trained herself. She loves to be naked (this is a good thing about the weather turning colder -- she keeps her clothes on). She loves to play with dolls and always wants to play doctor (working through anxiety?). She is very inquisitive and likes to draw on anything (walls, furniture, herself) especially when she gets hold of a Sharpie.

These posts made me smile! Thank you.

Oh wow, each and every one of your children all sound like fantastic people that I'd love to meet!

My lefa is a real go getter, and doesn't like to take no for an answer, not from anyone! Everyone (except me - and her) is always so concerned that little Big Brother is going to hurt her. But she gets so much joy from the crazy things he does, that she recovers very quickly from any incidental bumps and bruises and follows him everywhere! The love to crawl into an empty cupboard together, close the door and play peekabo with the rest of us. She is diligent about her job to empty the lid drawer of all of the tupperware lids daily onto the floor - I never have to remind her! She is great at climbing the stairs, although I always spot her. Like someone else mentioned, she is a water baby for sure. All 3 kids and I get into our big tub together, and she doesn't even mind when brother splasher her in the face! She is addicted to Koala Crisps. She is our "won't back down" baby, and I never want to squelch that!

Aawwwww... this thread is just giving me big smiles reading about all the other little characters. We really should do some sort of annual weekend allergy conference or something so that our LO's could all hang out together!

Well my little A is quite a character. 14 months old he goes full steam from morning to night. He loves to climb everything. His latest is to climb on a kitchen chair and then onto the kitchen table to try and get the paper elephant hanging off the lamp. Despite his wretched sleep he wakes up a little charmer. He loves to laugh and horse around. If I'd had him first I'd want a 100 more.

My little Isabel is a happy little girl (when she's not reacting). She just turned 5 months old and has started laughing (deep belly laughs) at one of our dogs. I have no idea why but apparently she finds him really funny! She is always sucking on her feet and loves to touch our faces. I waited a long time to have her and she was worth the wait.
