Huh? No disadvantages? I would say that having my son risk infection, penile amputation, disfigurement, and death for an unnecessary surgery is a pretty huge disadvantage. As is going into adulthood lacking certain parts that are instrumental for sexual functions. I just about fell off my chair reading that post. Doesn't any place where you go to do research on circumcision state that there are disadvantages to it? Where do people get that kind of misinformation?

That's crazy. I would say there are no advantages to doing it. If you go in a circ support board you find hundreds of messages about adhesions and other common complications. Every single "medical" benefit has been disproven, what the heck?

I always explain to people that there are risks and disadvantages to having a circ. People don't understand the functions of the foreskin so it is a good opportunity to educate them. The only gains are to leave a boy intact so he can have the full function and sensation of his penis. In reality there are no disadvantages to having foreskin.
