Bloody show. Does it mean anything?

So I had some strong menstrual-like contractions last night that kept waking me up. This morning I had some blood on the tp when I wiped, and all day I have had blood-tinged mucous. I haven't seen a mucous plug (like I did with ds1). Labour started fairly quickly after bloody show with ds1 and I don't remember seeing any with ds2.

What is your experience with bloody show? How soon after did labour start for you?

(aren't we all funny? Desperately looking for answers/hints/signs as to when labour will start!!! :P)

I don't think I had any bloody show until I was in labor with any of my kids. It sounds like you'll have your baby in your arms soon!

Not in your DDC, but saw your post in new posts. I had bloody show the night before I went into labor. Noticed it around 8pm and started having cx around 9am the next morning, had my baby that evening.

I hope you have a lovely labor and are holding a sweet babe in your arms soon.

Never saw show of any sort with my DD. With DS, had bloody show at 2:30 in the afternoon, DS was born at 4:00am.

Hope labor starts soon!

I had a show around mid-afternoon with DD and had her the next day around 1pm. Had a show with DS1 in the morning and had him the next morning.

With DS2 I never had a show that I saw, but I do remember losing bits of mucous in labor.

I was in labor with DD when I saw it. It was the thing that got my doula convinced it was the real deal this time. (I THINK dd was born about 4 hours after I saw it? I don't remember the exact time lol)

LOL, I think I posted the same thing last week.

I had light ctx all night, and then bloody show (lots of it) in the morning when I got up. Then nothing all day long until about 4pm when I lost my mucous plug. My water broke at 5:30pm and Baby was born at 8:11pm.

I lost a touch of mucus (non bloody) Monday afternoon, and then nothing else until contractions had already started about 24 hours later. Didn't actually lose a 'plug' either - just lots of bloody mucus once active labor was already going. I bet you'll have your little one soon too!
