Hi : I'm Victoria from South America, already I have a Son but I can't get pregnant again. Had my first IUI in November 2007 using clomid + HCG 5.000 but I didn't O . Later in Dec got my 2nd IUI clomid + HCG 10.000 this time works...2 beautiful eggs, but it doesn't work again :. My third time got 2 many eggs....so we didn't do anything, was a big risk that was in january. So the 4th time in march I thought was the lucky one, Doctor change the medicine and again 2 beautiful eggs, one in each side, got the hcg and O both eggs, wow, but a phone call change my plans for that day (an uncle pass away), but we did our homework anyway, nothing happend.

After that I had a Laparoscophy and was everything ok, all my exams say that I'm ok. This month try to do it again, but my reaction with the medicine wasn't very good .

Now I don't know if I continue trying or stop in this war..... oh sorry I forgot something important, sorry for my english, but trying to do my best job

Welcome! Sorry that you have to be here.

I wish you all the best!

After a few cycles on Clomid, it really started to mess up my system. I was ovulating early, getting cysts. In retrospect, I wish I had only used it twice vs. 4 x. They say if it's going to work for you, it will usually by the 3rd try. Have you considered injectibles? Some women just don't quite get preg. on Clomid but do well with those. I'm sorry for the frustrating journey that's taken you this far. Good Luck and Welcome.

thank you girls for the welcome :

yup poetgirl we are thinking in inyectables but later with the in vitro , for now we are looking for one single IUI with the best conditions, that didn't happend yet .

Hubby is away from home now until the end of the month and my period will appear at the end of the month 2

Maybe my 39 years old are the reason for not getting pregnant.....well this situation is hard but also is funny sometimes..... well all the coins have 2 faces and this road 2.

The second medicine is tamoxifen 20mg

Lisa, Thank you very much for appreciating my English , I hope my mother will think in the same way , since having grown up with the language and living in Down Under for a year , she said that my english make her embarrased : . Sometimes I feel that I speak as Tarzan and all of you are Jane : . But, which really is important is that we can communicate without any problem.

For the time, I will keep on consoling : with my husband, lol.

Hi girls

Stil have one of the 3 LUF, had my USound, my endometrio is 10mm and the LUF is 3.6 mm, so 10 days of natural progestene and see what happend. Probably Dec will be our month.

the best definition that I found is the following:

LUTEINIZED UNRUPTURED FOLLICLE (LUF) SYNDROME

Recognized disorders of folliculogenesis cannot be identified before ovulation begins. They are believed to reflect abnormalities in follicular development.

The LUF syndrome describes development of a dominant follicle without its subsequent disruption and release of the ovum. The abnormality can be diagnosed by ultrasonography or by the absence of evidence of ovulation when the ovary is viewed at laparoscopy. The disorder is believed to occur infrequently and sporadically and is probably not a significant cause of infertility. Menstrual cycles in which no ovum is released are characterized by presumptive evidence of ovulation, including biphasic basal body temperatures, secretory endometrium, a normal LH surge, and normal progesterone production in the luteal phase. In fact, although the syndrome is believed to occur, data to substantiate its existence are only circumstantial (although strongly suggestive) at present.

So patient is the mothe of the sciences

Wishing for xmas receive my special gift , still waiting for the next period, lol

On the way have 10 days for : enjoying my hubby

This is very interesting. LUF. I was thinking about this one day while I was in the shower. Maybe this is happening to alot of us. We think we are ovulating but we are not really. No egg release even though LH surge and temps rise. VERY VERY interesting. I have to ask my RE about this. Sometimes after oing it hurts a few days afterwards. Maybe the egg is stuck and causing pain. hmm

Edit: I really think this is happening to me. My last LP was 17 days and now my left ovary is hurting me, not much, but its noticeable.

:

I know long time ago that the LUF Syndrome is my cause of infertility, that's why must use injections of HCG to stimulate my Ovulation and to be able to try a pregnancy with the help of the science. This diagnosis appears in me together with the endometriosis and I already had a laparoscopy last July.

Also LUF is a Syndrome that appears normally in women who have endometriosis, it does not mean that all those who have endometriosis should have LUF or all those who have LUF should suffer of endometriosis, but most the LUF situations are women who suffer both pathologies.

Maybe it sound funny but we have periods that are not periods and the worse of it, is that we have a lot of pain with them, so sometimes I need bedrest, YUK!!!! :

Finally thank you very much for the early Xmas Wishes to natrualmom & wtg4miracle

Tomorrow we begin with the ultrasounds, first we will have to verify that both ovaries are in rest to begin to stimulate with Tamoxifen 20mg x 5 days and then to prepare myself for the IUI.
