A friend's daughter had a vaccine reaction

Luckily, it (as far we know so far) wasn't really bad. It was just a fever and a rash, and she was given a prescription to clear it up. I still feel so awful though. Poor little girl. She's just over a year old. It was the MMR vaccine.

These friends don't know dh and I don't vaccinate our ds, and I honestly don't think they'd take it well, so I'm not telling. I did mention VAERS to her and how they want us to report vaccine reactions so they can make vaccines safer and such... I think with her and her dh, giving them a little info to let them figure things out for themselves is the way to go. I sent her the link to VAERS. Not sure if she'll look at it or not, but hey, I tried.

Without coming out with our "secret" and without sounding pushy, was there anything more I could have said?

I'm not sure what more you could have said w/o giving away or strongly hinting at your kid's vaccination status. I think the way you phrased VAERS to them was a good idea.

I wonder if a perscription in that situation would even do any good.

Thanks, that's what I thought but just wanted another opinion. I feel so torn, but I also feel like my hands are tied. I'll just pray for the poor baby's quick recovery.

Also wondering what prescription would help that vax reaction...

I don't keep my vax decisions secret. If it was a *friend* I would have spoken up (maybe not with an acquaintance)
