Did anyone have flu-like symptoms before labor?

I've been really tired these last few days and last night I started feeling sick: chills, going to the bathroom more often, nausea. I've read that some women feel this way before labor starts. Did it happen to any of you? I have a doctor's apt later this morning so I'll ask her and I'm also going to get her to check my cervix, which I've never had checked before. I'm 41 weeks today so this has to be it right?

I had it with both babies. With ds #1 i called to cancel my apt b/c I was 38 weeks and did not want to get anyone the the office sick... luckily when I called the dr. told me to come. When i stepped out of the car my waters broke and baby came 5 hours later! May you be so lucky, esp at 41 weeks!

I just got back from the OB and she said it's probably a good sign. She checked me and my cervix is soft and I'm 1 cm dilated. I hope something happens soon.

I had a wicked bout of diarrhea the evening before my daughter was born. In fact I said something to DH about it, as in "this probably doesn't mean anything, but. . ." I was 38 weeks and figured it was too early (DS was born on his EDD, DD #1 4 days before her EDD). My water broke about 5-6 hours later in the early a.m.
