This is an update to my previous thread.

Well, they are indeed pressuring people today. The manager, who is not my manager, but he is for most of the people in our department is now resorting to pressure and tactics to get people to go into the conference room and "get their shot." As in, he's going down the rows of cubes individually asking them. Then he's playing it like they are all just afraid of the needle or something and saying "don't be scared" or "don't be a wimp", etc. He won't likely ask me because he's not my manager and so there's nothing I can do at the moment. He's even reminding the people if they haven't gotten up and gone over there.

Probably many of these people wouldn't have otherwise gotten vaxed. But it's so "convenient" to walk into the other room and get the shot and the social pressure is on.

WTF?!!

Hello, lawsuit! This buffoon is asking his employees to publicly disclose their medical choices and conditions in the workplace. Brilliant.

I wonder if he's getting some sort of bonus based on flu shot "compliance"?

Yeah, isn't it? : He can be really stupid when it comes to suff like this. He gets away with it because no one calls him on it. And because he's arrogant and elitist.

Sadly, just being able to report to the higher-ups that he got 99% of people in his dept to vaccinate will be enough for him. The mgrs and directors here are serious yes people and the flu shot initiative came down from the top. It's just some kick that the COO got on several years ago and it's getting worse every year.

Their monetary interest is that they believe they are keeping employee attendance rates as high as they can be. I never understood this because we get sick days for a reason.

And, of course, there are many other illnesses. The manager in question was very ill, with like bronchitis or something for several weeks and still came in all but like two random days. He just doesn't want to use his leave because he goes to Greece for a month every Summer and uses it all for that. Whatever.
