Bleeding Again!

*sigh* I'm not sure if it's AF or just more pp bleeding, but I'm leaning toward the latter because we rearranged the entire house last night, including moving our pool table to a different room. I woke up this morning with spotting and it's gotten slightly heavier t/o the day today. GRRR!

Me too. I had nothing for 2-3 days then I had a really busy day on Wednesday and yesterday started gushing again. Ugh!

OK I would be really mad if it had been two weeks. A few days it just seems like an inconvenience.

My bleeding had slowed to spotting for at least a week then on Tuesday I went on a long walk with another mom and the bleeding picked up the next day. This morning I even had uterine cramping. I guess I should have taken it a bit easier. Hm, the same mom is organizing another walk next week but maybe I should bow out....

Sounds like that might be AF instead since you haven't bled for 2 weeks. Same thing happened to me. I waited and sure enough it acted like a normal period flow heavy at first and tapering down after 4-5 days. Its almost gone now. I am really getting tired of the bleeding though.

I'm thinking i'm going to be having AF soon. My body was more than eager for me to get pregnant the first time around (got preg on the first try after coming off of the pill!) so i figure my period will be returning soon. Yesterday I felt a cramp that felt like ovulation... but i'm not sure. So, in a couple weeks I could be seeing AF again. I don't doubt it.

What is AF?
Also, how long should we bleed after birth? Mine stopped and I jsut have a few spots forthe last 2 weeks (gave birth 5 1/2 weeks ago)

How long is PP bleeding supposed to last? I'm getting close to four weeks PP and am still bleeding. Does AF show up after PP bleeding? I am so over all this bleeding!

I'm 5 weeks pp and only just stopped wearing pantyliners a couple days ago. There have been a couple times I thought it was stopping and then it picked back up so I'm not certain it's fully stopped yet. I could get more today or tomorrow for all I know. I'm getting really sick of it too.

If you are exclusively breastfeeding, it would be very unusual (but not unheard of) for AF to show up after the bleeding stops. Most women don't see AF until they introduce solids into baby's diet.

How long bleeding lasts varies a lot. I bled for 5 weeks, stopped, started spotting again at 7 weeks, spotted for 4 days, stopped. Some women bleed for 8 weeks. Some stop bleeding at two weeks and don't start again until AF shows up a year later! It just depends.

I bled for about 5 weeks and i'm right at 7 weeks this week and yesterday started getting some blood tinged mucous. And today a little more borwnish/reddish spotting. We are ebf and tandem nursing...geez...i'm hoping this is not AF...this is way to soon. But with my last son i got AF with ebf at 4 months. So we'l see and wait this out...maybe its from stress or lack of sleep.

I had stopped bleeding for what seemed like quite awhile and then this afternoon started having pink and then red spotting again. Ugh!

My midwife suggested that some women have a hormonal surge around 6-8 weeks...some will have spotting and some mama's tend to get a yeast infection if they are prone to yeast. So maybe that is what is causing the spotting that some of us are having?

Glad to see this. I am 8 weeks pp and had a little bit of spotting today. Freaked out because I never had this before. Although it may be because we DTD for the first time 2 days ago? I stopped bleeding like 3 weeks ago. With my first child I had no AF till 12 months pp and with my second ds I had no AF till 19 months pp. I REALLY hope I get at least 9-12 months this time!

I'm 10 weeks pp tomorrow and I think AF is coming but I'm not sure. I guess that's the downside to DD sleeping so well. We do co-sleep but she doesn't nurse much at night.

It's been about a month since I stopped bleeding but my mother bled for three months so it can vary quite a lot.
