LOL! I'm a big fan of "if what you are doing is working for you don't change it". If Blogger is doing everything you want it to, then that's perfect and no need for you to worry about technobabble.

Sorry for not responding sooner! But thanks! I got my theme from Wordpress.org. Just had to download from their site and upload it to mine. I had to have someone fix some stuff with it but I like it too. Still working on a good header though. Hopefully I'll have it within a week.

Hmm, IrfanView is a free photo editting software. It's capabilities are limited of course. There is also Picknik.com that has some cool photo effects. Perhaps between the two? Or you can get Photoshop Elements for pretty cheap. But it's limited too (not as much as IrfanView though).

You can also download Gimp for free. I use it. It's like Photoshop without the big pricetag.

I really like paint.net. I tried GIMP once and it was just beyond me. But paint.net is awesome. Split Decisionz has a great tutorial for creating headers.

Just throwing this out there - if you add your blog to alphainventions.com , you will get a hundreds of views within hours. Although, I don't think it's' actually clicks on your blog, but rather pops of your blog on their site. Still, better than nothing.

Putting my blog in my sig here has gotten me a bunch of hits!

I think good writing keeps people coming back more than any catchy gimmick though. I figure I'll get as many viewers as I get, depending if my writing is any good! (How was that for a twisted sentence??) I mostly blog in order to practice writing and to chronicle the amazing universe-altering doings of my toddlers anyway.

I started to blog daily this week and I did see a huge increase in visitors, both new and return

One day I let go of the momentum and my hits suffered, so I see the need for daily blogging, if only a 'shout-out' to your readers

I'm going to run a give-a-way soon with something from my favorite green site...we'll see how that goes. I'd like to do a contest, but I'm not sure what to do still...
