How impossible is it to get in with Donna at MJH right now??? I'm 5 weeks pregnant, had a homebirth with my last, but financially I just can't swing it this time She's my best bet, but I know she's super hard to get in with....do I even have a chance????

SO, she's already booked. Who else can I use????

All you can do is call and find out. The sooner, the better.

I've often wondered if she has many clients drop after 12 weeks due to early miscarriages. I contemplated checking to see if I could possibly switch, but I was pretty happy with Dr. Wolanski and stuck with him.

I just had my baby last month and I used her partner, Dr. Wolanski. I was very happy with him - he does not encourage a lot of intervention and I really trusted him and felt secure with the decisions we made regarding my birth. He was very respectful of what I wanted and his nurses are just wonderful.

He is all business at first, but he does warm up Congrats on your pregnancy!

: I went with Dr. Wolanski because Donna was already booked, too.

He's not bad as far as intervention goes. We had a situation where Dr. Wolanski had reason to do an emergency c-section but instead sent us for one more ultrasound which showed that we didn't need it. (Whew!)

I asked if I could be put on a waiting list in case some of the other pregnancies didn't work out I was told that I wasn't able to, but I could keep checking back......

and see, the problem is, I'm a L&D nurse, so I know the inner workings of the hospital. I just don't want to fight my whole labor to get what I want (even though I know I could get the birth I want, I just don't want to spend my energy fighting or being hypervigilant when my energy would be better spent focusing on other things)
