Cleaning the Diva Cup

I would love to hear how all you ladies clean your Diva Cup when you are ready to store it for another month. How do you clean it during your cycle when dumping and putting it back in place? I love my Diva cup but often feel like I'm not taking care of it properly. I really don't want to buy their cleanser.

I wash mine thoroughly with soap, then run it through the dishwasher. After that, I put it in a small cup and completely submerge it in vinegar. I actually leave it like that until the next cycle, just in a out-of-the-way spot. I don't know what others do, this is just what I've found that works well for me.

Soap and hot water.

Soap and hot water here too.

I boil mine at the end of each cycle (just for 5 minutes). But I'm really prone to yeast infections.

I wash it with warm water and regular hand soap each time I take it out. At the end of the month I clean it the same way, put it in the little cloth drawstring bag that it came with and put it in the medicine chest. If it looks discolored I might clean it with a bit of rubbing alcohol. I've been using it for about a year with no issues.

Soap and water. Then I microwave it in water for 2 minutes. Store it in the bag.

Once a month boil in water for a couple of minutes or wipe with alcohol when I'm pressed for time.

Otherwise, soap and water.

I'm gonna try the dishwasher though.

Always boil it after use for a few minutes or if that would be inconvenient (eg when we´re with friends on holiday), use baby bottle sterilizing tablets in a non-see-through plastic thingy.

Ditto for me!

Mid cycle, I just rinse it out with water and re-insert. At the end of the month (or whenever I feel like switching to mama cloth for the rest of the month) I'll wash it with soap and water. I probably should boil it every once in a while, but haven't yet done so, and I've had it for several years. Oh, and occasionally I'll scrub it with baking soda rather than using a mild soap- this is useful when it starts to get stained.

Before reinserting I just rinse with hot water... then before I put it away for the month, I wash with soap and water and sometimes I boil it if I am in the mood.
