What are YOUR family movies? - Page 2

Hallowe'en:

We watch horror movies all month long (well, all year really). The kids are really into the Goosebumps series, Casper, Hocus Pocus, and of course DH and I like to watch all the classics- Halloween, the Nightmare series, Friday the 13th, etc. I heart Rocky Horror, but DH LOATHES it, so I have to watch in secret .

Christmas:

We watch holiday movies from Thanksgiving to New Year's. The ones we always want to see:

Miracle on 34th Street
The Nightmare Before Christmas
The Polar Express
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
The Santa Clause
Home Alone 1 & 2
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (animated)
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas
Snowed in at the House of Mouse
A Christmas Carol

DH loves A Christmas Story, but I *hate* that movie .

Now that the kids are old enough to see it... we do Groundhog Day every year on Groundhog Day.

We also have a long standing tradition of listening to Alice's Restaurant on Thanksgiving.

When I was a kid every holiday we'd get together with our cousins (mainly Easter and Christmas) we'd watch Quigley Down Under. Now I always get a craving to watch it around those times.

We want to start the tradition of watching LOTR on like New Year's Day or something.
