Alot of young moms are low income, low income can mean many things including you a) can't afford the internet and b) can't afford a car to get you to a library- which if you live in a rural area means you could walk for hours to get there or just stay home and watch tv - which has plenty of formula commercials.

I was 21 when I had my 1st (not a teen, but still pretty young in terms of a life span) and I made a few mistakes (circ'd my first ) because I lacked information and the means to get the information (see above situation). I get a little tired of people assuming it was because I didn't "want" to do research or I didn't care enough or wasn't responsible enough.

Everyone's circumstance is different. What it is like to be young and middle class is different from what it's like to be young and poor or young and rich. What it's like to be young with a partner is different than what it's like to be young and alone... It's too broad really to base it just on one factor.
