Re: Diapers. I've tried practically everything on the market at one point or another because we CDed both kids from day one and I'm picky about fit, etc. My favorite solution (so favorite that I sold everything else) is Mother-Ease. They are one-size fitteds that refuse to leak at any size. I work at this place so I could buy anything or everything at employee discount for this babe but I'm sticking with the MEs. I think the main ME site has a diaper/cover sample combo for a reasonable price. Ask for a couple of those as Christmas gifts or whatever so you get enough covers and then buy a few dozen of the diapers.

Yes! For me, it starts in the 2WW, too. Can be really terrible!

Nausea is kicking in more. It's reassuring and annoying. If I literally eat constantly, I seem to be OK so long as I don't get too full either. And I'm soooo tired. I was gone all weekend in a hotel and slept terriblely so that might be part of it but ugh. I could have pulled over on my way to work today and fell asleep in the car, I swear.

We told DD and DS last night. They are so excited! DD told her whole kindergarten and DS keeps thinking of things we'll need for the baby, like a place for it to sit at the dinner table. How does a 2 year old come up with that? (Oh yeah, he's brilliant! )

Hi ladies!

Because~ That is too cute!! My DS told his whole school (felt like it anyway) the day after we told him too. It's wonderful when the kids are so excited!!

I am right there with everyone else on the MS!! I feel/am pukey a lot! My doctor gave me a script for Zofran and I am telling you this stuff is like a miracle drug!! I can actually function again (until it starts wearing off that is)! I am still really tired, but I will take that any day over throwing up non-stop! He has assured me that it's completely safe for the baby... surely he knows what he's talking about!

I almost forgot to tell everyone... we saw our precious baby on US Friday at my appointment and my little June Bug's heart was beating clear as day!! It was the most beautiful thing ever!! :::

I can hardly believe that I am 7 weeks pregnant already... I know it's not that far as I can't wait until I am like 20ish weeks, but it already seems to be going fast. How many others are planning this baby to be your last? This will be our last baby (unless God has other miraculous plans for us) as it took a lot for my DH to agree to one more (last) baby. I intend to enjoy everything about this last pregnancy. Honestly, I would probably have more kids if finances would allow (and my DH would allow too). LOL! I won't tell my DH that though... I think he would have a heart attack. I honestly secrectly hoped we might have twins so that we could have two more. Seriously though... I am thrilled with our one baby!!

The U/S went fantastic!!! Our little Junebug is measuring right on schedule at 7weeks 4days and has a nice strong heartbeat! YAY!! :::
Thanks to everyone for all your good vibes! I'm feeling much more relaxed, excited and positive now! (If you can feel excited and positive when you're super nauseous, throwing up, and nothing appeals to your appetite... LOL)

As for diapering plans... we definitly want to CD as much and as long as possible. This is our first so everything is going to be trial and error but that's our plan at this point!

Also re: ligament pain... YES I have it for sure and it makes me crazy! I find stretching helps a little...sometimes!

Carlin Good for you for taking a day off! Hope you got the much needed rest you were looking for! I'm sending you vibes that this super sized nausea only lasts a few more weeks!! (OR LESS!) Hang in there!!!

That's adorable!

My oldest son is by far the most excited of our kids. He just turned 10. The others are kind of meh, no big deal. I think they just haven't really taken in yet what it means. The 3 year old does not seem too happy with the idea of another baby. She keeps insisting, "NO! I da baby! You not gets anudder baby!" She'll be a little over 3 1/2 when Bun arrives, so I think she'll be a little more understanding by then. I hope!

I think my friend's sister has a friend that works there too.. I'm pretty sure it's not you because I heard that she had twins, or is having twins.. umm.. this was some months back so she probably has them already. I'm pretty sure that's the same company!

I actually didn't start to CD DS until he was 5 months old. So, I only have a stash of Meds in AIOs/covers and larger prefolds. I don't mind though, I can't wait to get a newborn stash!!!

I just got back from the OB to get my blood drawn.

This OB's office is much different than the one I went to when I was PG with DS. I really only want my Hcg levels checked and an ultrasound though. They don't do ultrasounds at this office like my other one. I am tempted to call my old one up, but I am afraid I burned a bridge when I transferred to the midwife without warning. But, I loved their ultrasound tech! I dunno.. what would you do? I could always just call my current midwife and ask her to give me an u/s order or something instead maybe?

I remember with Willow that I didn't want to eat anything but turkey sandwiches... anything with spices sounded awful until I was in the end of my 2nd trimester...then all i wanted was Mexican food. lol The spicier the better.

Now... omg... I could eat a whole pepperoni pizza if I wanted...
I'm heading out to Central market tomorrow because they have a better produce selection than the Tom Thumb down the street... I figure if I'm going to pig out, I might as well pig out on things that are good for me.

Seriously though... if I didn't need to save money for a midwife... I'd want to go to buffets. lol

I had to go downtown today to pick up photo developing paper and stopped to get soup at a place i used to go to all the time when I lived by it. OMG.. It was so good.. I have a feeling I am going to want to drive downtown for that soup all the time now!

And, DH told me that he was going to get Mexican food, and it made me kinda queesy to think about it

All of these CD tips are great. I will be starting from scratch and the choice out there is a bit overwhelming!

I am just making some soup now as I thought that might be good to eat. Had to get DH to chop up the stuff (he doesn't normally cook but is happy to chop under direction ) as I couldn't face it, but once they were in the pot it smelled OK and I could deal with it from there. It is tomato and roasted red pepper and it's what I like to eat when I'm not feeling well usually.

I'm having a craving for Ding Dongs. Not the ones now in the plastic wrap... the ones from the 80s in the foil.

Now, I don't think that Ding Dongs circa 1985 would be safe to eat now...pregnant or not...

so I guess I'll just have my nightly cup of coffee and a Reese's Cup and call it a night.

I saw Reese's Mini Cups on TV today while I was at the gym, and now I crave them. :

I have not been craving sweets in general, but I have started to crave chocolate specifically. And chocolate seems to make me feel good after I eat it, so baby must need chocolate!

Carlin I found ot about something today that is supposed to be fantastic for morning sickness, nausea etc. They are called B-Natals. They are B6 supplements that come in a losenge or lollipop form. Supposed to work great! I'm on the search! I think you can find them at pharmacy's maybe health food stores??

I'm having a quiet week so far. Dropped dd off at preschool - it was the first time I've left her there. It's a co-op and I've had duty every Monday for the last 2 months. Her Nana's been able to leave her there a few times now but I've never had the chance. So of course she totally lost it. Poor thing. But when I went to pick her up she was all smiles. Go figure. Heh.

I'm T.I.R.E.D. still. Slept in until 10 on Sunday, went for a nap with dd at noon and then was in bed by 8pm. Heh. I could sleep all day sometimes. Worst thing is that I often have insomnia. Which is why I'm sitting here munching tortilla chips, drinking milk and posting to my ddc's chat thread. Hah!

This will be the 2nd and last child in our family. We only want 2. We can only afford 2. Well, can't even really afford 2 but we'll make it work somehow. Given our ages (I'm 37 and he's 40) I don't think we can be having too many more after this without being eternally exhausted and unable to keep up.

As for diapering, well. Um. I'm probably going disposable this time around. I did cloth for the first 7 months last time and then gave my dipes to a friend who probably toxified them with fabric softener (I'm dreadfully allergic to it). I just don't know if I have it in me to do all the washing this time around. I've been super happy with the 7th Gen disposables for dd. She rashed up something awful in cloth at 7 mos (I tried everything under the sun to no avail) but when I tried the 7th Gen she has never had a problem since.

Glad to hear the news of heartbeats in U/S checks. That rocks, Ladies.

My sympathies to the greenish among us. Vit B6 works wonders.

Nighty night, all. I'm off to try and get some sleep now ... Gotta be up at 5:30am for work. Buh.

We love 7th Gen diapers! I do cloth mostly, but a lot of times when I have to go somewhere for an extended period of time I do disposables. And for overnights we do disposables. I've been really happy with 7th Gen, too!

I have a question for everyone...how much B6 is safe in a day? How about folic acid? Obviously my prenatals have them, but then so do these natural m/s pills that I take (along with ginger and RRL).
