Mystery reader for kindergarten class

I am going to be a mystery reader for my son's class in a couple of weeks. I have the choice of whether to read and do a craft or just read. I was thinking of reading "Dooby, Dooby Moo" and "Giggle, Giggle Quack" by Doreen Cronin. My boys tend to think her books are funny, but I'm not sure if it's a good choice or not. Any opinions? Also, any ideas where to get an affordable, easy, ready-made farm animal type craft for 23 kids?

I think these books are great. If you are reading this week or next week I would probably use "Duck for President" as one of the books. They also have a new book out that we read at the book story yesterday. It is called "Thump, Quack, Moo: A Whacky Adventure" .

Sorry I don't have any craft ideas.

Thanks for the input. I thought about "Duck for President" but I don't read until Nov 15th.

For crafts, you might try here:

Thank you. I meant to mention that I did look at oriental trading, but they don't seem to have much in the way of farm animal crafts. Plenty of zoo animals, though!

For a craft you could do paper play masks. A pig would be super easy a duck you could do easy too I would think......

I was thinking of that, too. I'm not a very crafty person, so I'll have to look on line for some instructions...
