How about a rag rug? I have a whole box of tees in storage that I want to make into kitchen rugs. Anyone have luck with that? I also love the grocery bag idea! what a good thread.

I have a pattern where you cut t-shirts into long, continuous strips wound up into a ball and knit it into a rug - haven't made it yet as I haven't had the patience to do the cutting, but it was beautiful in the picture. I imagine you could come up with whatever pattern you wanted - you cut into 1/2" wide strips and I believe it was size 11 needles, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

her projects mostly use plastic bags, but you could use t-shirts in the same way for many of them.
