Increasing Milk Supply for Adoptive Nursing

Hi, I am in a very similar situation to the other woman who posted about adoptive nursing, in that i am pumping about 1 oz a day, double pumping and using a hospital grade pump. i have tried fenugreek to increase my supply but it really bothered my stomach so i had to discontinue use. i am nursing my 18 mo old. she nurses a lot which keeps me pretty dry. i was having good success having her nurse my "dry" side, while i pumped my "good" side, but then she decided she didn't like being short-changed and now screams, "No pump! NO PUMP! Nurse other side!" and pulls out the tubing. so that's not working. i am not willing to take RX drugs, because i am extraordinarily drug sensitive and do not want to risk the side effects. also, the baby we are adopting will probably be about 6 mo old when she/he is adopted, so who knows whether or not the baby will take to breatfeeding at that age. i certainly plan to attempt it. i've tried cluster pumping and i try to pump several times a day, but i have a very active 3 1/2 year old AND 18 mo old and i am starting to resent the time commitment with minimal results. it's been 2 weeks of dedicated pumping with 1.5 oz being the BEST i've done! any advice???

thanks in advance!

Try reading the "low milk supply" stickie at the top of this forum, it has tips on pumping in general and low supply in particular.
