BabyTalk magazine made me happy!

My friend recieves BabyTalk magazine and I was over at her place yesterday and see her flipping through it. Of course I see the words "breast milk" and I have to look! Imagine my surprise to see a little blurb about the use of breastmilk as medicine for your child! It mentions that you can use bm for congestion, minor abrasions, conjunctivitis, and eczema...even tells moms how to do so. I was so thrilled to see a national magazine normalize these practices. I "grossed out" a lot of people by putting milk in my dd's eye, so I loved seeing this in print.

That's wonderful. Isn't Baby Talk the magazine Dr Sears writes for?

That's so cool! Is there any on-line access to that article? I'd love to read it, but I don't subscribe to Baby Talk.

I'm pretty sure you just express a bit and dab it on. That's what I've done.

Is this the magazine that often contains misinformation about BF and seems to actively promote formula, or is that another one of those "free" baby magazines?

It is a "free" one. It is the mag that made headlines in 06 for have a full on side view breastfeeding shot that "offended people" It rocked!

The picture is the second one on the webpage

Okay, I found the article. It's pretty short and sweet. Here's a link:
