I want some longies like these on knitty.com in my size. They are so freakin' cute. I am so uncomfortable with adjusting sizes, but willing to try. Anyone have any longie patterns for us big kids. I would love to adjust the knitty.com pattern for myself. ANy suggestions?
Thanks gals.

Well, Elizabeth Zimmerman has a schematic for longies for adults in Knitter's Almanac. They're called "Nether Garments". She doesn't give enough directions for me but maybe you could find it useful.

Oooh, I found the book . You can take a look at the pattern!

I am not sure what size you are... but

I know Knit.1, Fall 2004 has a cropped pants pattern. And if you are on Ravelry there are these http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/libr...-bootcut-pants I think there is another pattern in maybe Interweave Knits, I think it was earlier that the Knit.1 one, um Spring 2004 that had some sweat pants. I am know there are a couple yoga pants patterns floating around.

Thank you gals.
I meant to include the link just for pleasure. Here is what I desire to have for myself.

oh, ROCK, ROCk, ROCK, ROCK!

Somehow I missed that. Knitty.com is one of my favorite sites for patterns and finding fun blogs with more free patterns.

I think I will make them just a tad bit longer. A little longer than capris, maybe. One day in the not so near future I will post them for everyone. It takes me forever to get anything done. But I am really excited.
I have tried to get into Knit. One but it keeps telling me my activation code is wrong. All I am doing is cutting and pasting a code.

I am very excited about this.
When I can get into Ravelry and Knit. One, I will check out those as well.
I am also interested to check out the book, The History of Underclothes by C. Willett and Phillis Cunnington.
