Going rate for a sitter in Tucson

What would you pay for two hours of baby sitting for a very pleasant and easy-going 9 mo? The sitter doesn't have qualifications or anything, she's just a nice and trustworthy college student. I was thinking $10 an hour... am I being cheap?

Help, hijacking your thread!

For some reason I can't start my own thread and since this is (sort of) related, I hope you don't mind if I hijack yours

My husband and I just moved to Tucson, we're in the process of buying a home and are going to need a little day care/ babysitting. Since we're military, we're supposed to be able to get it through the base, but our kids aren't vaccinated, so they won't accept them.

Does anyone one know of a good babysitter or day care center that will accept kids who are not vaccinated near Davis Monthan or south of base? Hopefully not too expensive, cause we're military, which means we're broke
