I am officially 41 weeks 3 days and would love to commiserate with someone. I feel like I have good trust in my body and its ability to birth this baby but the more time that passes the more I am questioning that. I know that all those around me who are asking when I will be induced or what will happen if I have to go to the hospital (we are planning a homebirth) are not helping.

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

i'm almost there! 40+5 and no signs of impending labor. i'm seeing and FP doc and will have a hospital birth. he's already thrown the 'I' word around once
i called the birth center in another town about an hour from here yesterday to see if i could transfer. i could, but they have the same policy as my doc
: which is induce/transfer to OB at 42 weeks *sigh* i plan on walking a LOT today (and it's below freezing outside
) and DTD. hopefully this kid will come out of it's own accord.....

40W 5 days here. I have a fluid check and NST tomorrow and if that goes OK then I can wait until 42 weeks before they induce. I'm going to the mall today to walk.. walk.. walk. I had my son at 41 weeks so I am hopeful that I can do this!!
Glad to hear there are others close to me. I have an appointment with my midwives tomorrow and I am sure we will discuss scheduling an ultrasound, etc. I walked the mall yesterday and had a nice spicy lunch and ended up with a sore back and heartburn. I am having a ton of contractions but they aren't going anywhere. Hopefully, not too much longer for any of us.

I'm 41w5d and planning a VBAC. My OB is great though. She's sending me for fluid checks and NST's twice a week now and as long as everything is good and the baby is still moving lots, we're waiting until next Monday to make any decisions. I hope I go into labor before then. I went for acupuncture yesterday and DTD last night for the first time in months. I'm so ready for this baby to come out. People keep asking why I haven't been induced or why I haven't scheduled another c/s. They just don't understand why I want a natural childbirth.

I am in the early Nov. DDC so generally just lurk here but I went 42+6 with my DS at 42 weeks my midwife did cervical stretch and seperating the membranes on two seperate occasions and this started things off but still labor was long (3 days). During pregnancy midwife said expect to go 3 weeks over and be in labor for 3 day I did not do this but this is what happened so this time I expect to go 3 weeks over and be in labor for three days but I lurk in Oct. DDC so maybe I am more optimistic than i admit.
