I do not know much about vaccines. We do not do them and I have thought about starting the delayed vacc process. Should I?? What are the risks of the FLU shot. Are they safe? We have four children. I stay home and homeschool. I'd hate for them to get it.. Dh and I got them 3yrs ago and got soooooo sick anyway. I had weird spells after it. I think it was from that shot.. Any info would be great!

Don't get it, ever! There, did that help you decide

Ok really, reasons not to get the flu shot

1. it's not proven to work
2. it's caused paralysis
3. it has nasty stuff in it
4. i've known people who have lost their babies after getting the flu shot while pg
5. at the least, a sore arm, headaches, dizzy spells
6. do you really need any more reasons?

Take selenium and avoid the flu altogether.

I have selenium tablets and they say not to take them if you're pregnant or nursing. Not sure why.

Vitamin D with selenium is even better to avoid the flu.

Because that warning is on ALL bottles of supplements.

In areas of the world where the Aviun Flu is bad you'll find the selenium is deficient there.

Selenium keeps the flu from mutating.

I took selenium several times a week while pregnant with our last child as the prenatals made me more ill. She is now 17 month olds sitting in my lap nursing. Of course thats not scientific evidence.

Selenium is in prenatals.

both my kids and I had the flu last year (confirmed by nasal swab). We're fine. It was fine. No big deal really, okay mine stunk because 1) I was on vacation 2) in a 3rd world country 3) I got secondary ear infections and strep throat. But really in the end it was no big deal. If you don't have an immunocompromised individual in your home, I don't see what the big deal about the flu is. DH was way sicker from the shot itself a few years ago.

Thanks! I wish they were not so advertised! I am so sick of hearing about them. Makes me feel like I HAVE to get one.:

advertising works

this is why billions are spent on advertising

you are human

human beings are responsive to advertising

therefore you will find yourself thinking you need to get a flu shot

ugh!
