Preparing fabric

I just received my cloth diaper fabric in the mail. Obviously I need to wash, preshrink and prepare it all before I make the diapers. How do I go about doing this?

A friend of mine says she washes her cloth dipes in purex with some oxi clean, so I went out today and bought some purex free & clear and some oxi clean to wash them. Is that ok for cloth diaper fabrics?

What should I wash on hot?

What shouldn't I?

I have some PUL, some microfleece, some suedecloth, some hemp french terry, some bamboo velour and some microfiber/microterry stuff. Can I throw some of them in together, or do they need to be prewashed separately? And do I dry them on high or low? And just prewash once or more?

Sorry for all the questions! Everyone has been so, so helpful here so far! Thanks!

I make diapers to sell, so I do not use any detergent as my customers may have sensitivities. I only pre-wash natural fabrics (cotton, hemp, bamboo) that will otherwise shrink. PUL, poly fleece ect does not get prewashed. I wash on HOT and dry on HOT 2-3 times depending. That way I make sure it's shrunk down to the smallest it will get. Hope that makes sense

I also wash only natural fabrics, although I don't really use anything synthetic anyway. I wash 2-3 times on hot and dry on hot too, and use the same detergent I'd be using to wash the dipes later.

Thank you! Do you use anything at all in the water? Or is it just washed in plain hot water?
