I do hope that she gets over it quickly and without lasting damages.

Also I am wondering what made you decide on those vaccines?

Rotavirus is generally a one time thing that gives lasting immunity.

DTaP - well, it is a very nasty vaccine! It causes the encephalitis scream and is linked to SIDS.
On the other hand -
Diphtheria is not something we see in kids outside of war zones much.
Tetanus never has been a problem for kids.
Pertussis is only dangerous to kids under 6 mo of age.

I'd think since vaccines can cause gut problems that yes it could very well be related, check this thead out too http://www.mothering.com/discussions.../t-219208.html

Umm, I just found this about the rotovirus vaccine :
Quote:
In February 2007, the FDA announced there had been 28 reports of intussusception in infants who received the vaccine. Intussusception is a potentially life-threatening condition that occurs when the intestine gets blocked or twisted.

Wow! Poor babies!

The fact that rotavirus is an oral vaccine and contains fetal bovine bits is just disgusting to me, that alone is enough to say no the rotavirus vaccine.
ICK.

Yes, even if it is a week later it can still be a reaction. Vaccines can cause gut issues. It sounds like she may have a gut issue and is in pain due to it. Is she peeing and pooping OK? I'm not sure what the signs of Intussusception are but I would think if it were that, she would be in constant pain. I'd still look into it regardless.

Well, we live and learn. And when we know better, we do better.

I hope your baby feels better soon.

my 2 oldest are fully vaxed. ds3 had a delayed schedule and dd has only had one, and I think we will be delaying the rest until further notice.
