ABO Blood Types & Vaccines

Hi all,
A friend of mine just read a post on another forum from a father who just recently lost his 15 mon child to a vaccine reaction. That board is for Eat Right for Your Type by Dr. D'Adamo.
Dr. D replied that he has noticed type B blood children have the most intense reactions to vaccines and that he is doing more research on blood types and vaccines fyi.
Just wanted to toss that out and when I hear more I'll post it here.

That is interesting (and sad). Thank you for posting the info. Something to keep an eye on.

That is really interesting. I am a B-type, but I have no idea what my babe is. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, very interesting. I'm B and I, along with one of my brothers, had reactions to the old DTP, while our oldest brother didn't. I wonder what their blood types are. I don't know dd's yet either.

I'm Type B also

This is very interesting to me!

FWIW, I had severe reactions to every vaccine I've ever had--extremely high fever for days, swelling at the injection sight, lethergic for days, aches, pains, no appetite. My parents thought that was normal, and never questioned whether I should be receiving the vaccines or not.

I remember Adamo mentioning that at a book store talk.

I'm B.

I don't remember my reactions to shots as a child or the MMR I consented to as a college student.

But the TB Skin Test 3 years ago.... grrrrr... my left arm STILL feels funny. A faint warm whole arm thing.

For those of you who want to know your or your child's type there is a very easy and affordable test you can do at home. One of the naturopaths in my town carries them in her office for $13 and you don't have to be a patient or make an appt to get one. I think it' worth calling around and I'm sure you can order them online as well.
For adults you can also find out if you ask what your type is when you donate blood.

I'm B too and have never had a rx to any vaxes, my dd is B as well but has never had any vaxes so I have no idea there. My dad is B and hasn't had any rx that I know of either and he's in the military so is quite the pin cusion. My oldest did react to his one set of vaxes, he's A, but it was the DTaP and it's the most common to react to anyways. I'd be interested to see what the research says.
