Dye ideas on white jansport mini backpack

Hello creative and crafty mamas

I am new with the whole idea of tie dye procedure. I have always wanted to try into making my own tie dye clothes for fun.

Now I have this small dilemma. I got those 2 white mini jansport backpack that I bought for half off its original price! Yayy for great baragins. Don't you love them the backpacks are dirty and I am not big fan with the color of 'white' cause it does not add spice to the colors of life.

I wonder if you have any recommendations on what tie dye can I use to dye the backpacks into vibrant creative colors and make them worthwhile

What kind is good to use? Helppppppp! many thanks mamas. Looking forward to experimenting with colors.

Just an assumption but the backpack is probably made of polyester which is not dyable for the home dyer with good results. All-purpose dyes like RIT do say they will dye polyester but you will get color leaching and just end up frustrated. I suggest fabric paints.
