hmmm...thank you guys. i agree it can vary from person to person, ...one reason i was curious to see others experiences!

with my son i had a few noticeable contractions, then noticed the show and went on to have your normal "marathon" style labor...(and i use that term not in terms of time, b/c he was only a 9 hour labor, but i mean in comparison to Prodromal being your start-stop style labor...like sprints!)
so in recently thinking about prodromal labor being like sprinting: "fast and hard for short while, then nothing for hours/days, then fast and hard for a few hours, then nothing for awhile, thenf ast and hard and whammo baby!" i was curious if the bloddy show may come at one of the earlier fast and hard peeks since you body IS working on itself, but doesn't go long enough to produce a baby right away perse....
i've never had a prodromal labor. just the run of the mill "braxton hicks that "change and feel diffferent" and an hour or so there's the show, and within 12 hours later of consistent timaeble contractions, there's a baby "marathons".
