Just curious if anyone here who has had Prodromal labor, did you have bloody show during those contraction periods? or have bloody show only at the time it was REALLY go time and ended with a baby?

Just curious.

I've been having prodromal labor for a week or two. I lost my plug last week. Still no baby.

IME Bloody show was only when the real deal was starting. Of course it took a little over 24 hours from bloody show to actually saying "Honey...I think...the baby is...(contraction)...on it's way."

But your miliage may vary.

For me, I lost my mucous plug with both births about 2 to 3 days prior to having baby. The first one I had painful contractions strong enough to keep me awake for 3 days until I pushed her out! Ugh!! With the second, she was a medically necessary c/sec. I had the bloody show, but no ctx and then my water broke 2 days later with no warning. I knew it was coming though, I just had a feeling. So, it could be days prior, in my experience.

With my daughter, I was dialted to 3 and never lost mucus plug until labor.

With my son, I had bloody show within 14 hours of his delivery.

I think it can really vary from person to person.

Good luck!

hmmm...thank you guys. i agree it can vary from person to person, ...one reason i was curious to see others experiences!

with my son i had a few noticeable contractions, then noticed the show and went on to have your normal "marathon" style labor...(and i use that term not in terms of time, b/c he was only a 9 hour labor, but i mean in comparison to Prodromal being your start-stop style labor...like sprints!)

so in recently thinking about prodromal labor being like sprinting: "fast and hard for short while, then nothing for hours/days, then fast and hard for a few hours, then nothing for awhile, thenf ast and hard and whammo baby!" i was curious if the bloddy show may come at one of the earlier fast and hard peeks since you body IS working on itself, but doesn't go long enough to produce a baby right away perse....

i've never had a prodromal labor. just the run of the mill "braxton hicks that "change and feel diffferent" and an hour or so there's the show, and within 12 hours later of consistent timaeble contractions, there's a baby "marathons".

Having another "sprint" all day today and am finally at "almost a 2" :

Still no show.

Had the same prodromal labors with DD1&2 and don't remember having any show with them either till I was finally past a 4..... I think....
