I read a brief article this morning about a woman in East Timor whose 14 month old son had an operation in New Zealand to remove a huge benign tumor. Here was the mother's reaction: "His mother, Elisa Da Conceicao, said she was very happy with the operation and looking forward to breast-feeding her son again, Wellington's Dominion Post newspaper reported Wednesday." I can imagine wanting and needing that closeness with my baby after such an ordeal, and I loved that that was what she said and looked forward to.
