WIC - monthly visits for the non-vaxed - Page 2

OP here.

I am SO jealous of those of you who have short WIC visits. If we can get in and out of our WIC office in two hours, it's a good day. Between the long waits in between each person we have to see, and the worst is the lady at the end who feels the need to read to me EVERY. SINGLE. THING. listed on EVERY. SINGLE. VOUCHER. I have a 3 year old, an 8 month old, and I'm still breastfeeding. Even though we only go once a month, that's still a lot to read. I don't know why she does it, but she does it every single time. She was the one who told me the first time that if I didn't vaccinate, it would effect the amount of food we would receive, which the mamas here totally debunked and gave me ammunition for the next time we went in.

Anyway, I sent an email off to the USDA person listed above, and will be sending a letter (like in an envelope with a stamp) to the state head of WIC and the head of this particular office as well. I hate complaining, because in the grand scheme of things, it's free food and we certainly need it, but every time I turn around, this particular location does something else that annoys me.

I'll let y'all know if/when anything changes. Thank you for all of your help!!

I'm glad I'm not in your WIC office. Babies don't nurse off cows' udders, for goodness sake! If breastfeeding doesn't happen, there's no need to completely guilt the mothers.
