Today is Halloween

and it is officially my EDD.

And NOTHING I mean NOTHING is HAPPENING YET. (Oh except that last Friday either the outer layer of the sac broke or I peed my pants. Twice. )

and you would THINK I would have this figured out on my 3rd one but NO the ENTIRE WORLD knows I am due TODAY.

because my big mouth blabbed about how cool it would be to have a baby on my mom's b-day and I really want that to happen....

so...baby........you have exactly 23 hours and 46 minutes to GET HERE!!!

I so know what you mean about all the pressure to have a babe in X amount of time.

My grandma will be here on November 4th and she's calling me every day to see if I've had the baby yet so she can see him on her visit.

Don't let people get to you, if they start to or already are. And something I am no learning is: DON'T TELL PEOPLE YOUR REAL DUE DATE! Is it deceptive? YES but seriously, when people know your due date- everyone loves to give us a hard time when we go even a minute over.

Oie. Next time around, I've decided to automatically add one week to my due date and tell people that instead.

Its my EDD as well.

I KNOW that EDDs mean absolutely jack, I know a normal pregnancy ranges from around 38-42 weeks, but it doesn't stop me being peeved.

DD2 was 18 days over, I don't think I can do another one of those.

Hey mamas! My EDD was 10/29 - and I'm still here too - this final day of October... I feel exactly the same as I've felt for the past week - slightly crampy, some mild contractions, nothing regular and nothing that lasts long enough or is consistent enough to time.

I really thought this would be a halloween baby, to be honest. TRYING not to lose my mind.

And yeah, I'm right there will all of you re: wishing I'd never told the EDD to family/friends. Why did I open my big mouth? My grandparents are literally sitting by the phone, where they've been for two weeks.
Grandma told me that every single time the phone rings, my grandfather says "it's a boy!" (we don't know gender)
Ay yay yay.

In a way, I'm sort of enjoying these peaceful autumn days (we're in boston, so its pretty beautiful) just being able to do whatever I want, wander around, get hot chocolate, nap, etc... But I'm so ancy for something ANYTHING to happen, I can't totally relax.

I know that in a week, or two, or however long this baby wants to cook (! please no more than a week!) this waiting waiting waiting will all seem so distant and irrelevant.

There's a part of me that thinks the babe is just waiting until the election is over to arrive. Maybe I'm too anxious about the election to give birth until the results are in! ha.

Whats really irritated me, is last week, I had virtually zero cervix left and was 3 cms, I had one stressful appointment and now baby is refusing to engage and I have gone back to having a really high, thick cervix thats only 1cm dilated.

Why??????????

Its so unfair.

I know- I hate due dates. Due dates suck. They get all of us long-cookers' hopes up when the day actually comes, and are then GREATLY disappointed if we go over.

Hate them.

Happy Halloween! Today is my EDD too!
I have been in prodromal labor for like 3 weeks now (from the time I checked and noticed I was dilating)...

Good baby, stay put until Tuesday, at least I feel like the only pregnant lady in the world wanting to "go over."

The good news is, we will officially be in the new house tomorrow night! The bad news is... my cleaning crew sucks on Halloween week I can't really blame them, I'd rather party, too, but sheesh people, I'm hurtin' here. I didn't even get to go T-or-T with DD and DH because if I walk too much/stand too long, I have lots of contractions... and I want the baby to stay in

DD said that if the baby starts coming out before we are ready, she'll honk it's nose and that will make it go back in

*I* however am STILL PREGNANT.

this is a total shocker to me after DD's birth....38 and 5 days.

DS was induced but I think he easily would have gone a week or so over his EDD just based on the fact that I had NO symptoms ctx wise or anything.

I have had totally random nothing time-able or anything ctx with this one.

and a hand keeps hitting me in a place I never thought I'd feel THAT today....like almost every time I go to the bathroom......

at least that better NOT be a FOOT.

I'm 99.9% positive this kid has not flipped.....and that sure he has no ROOM to FLIP at this point

come on baby....

(DH thinks it will be wed. because he is supposed to report for jury duty...)
