Soapnuts to wash down comforters?

Thread Starter
I'm a new and dedicated soapnuts user, but I need to wash my comforters ans was looking for some feedback from those veterans among you. I know that the information on soapnuts advises against washing hemp fabrics in soapnuts. Do any of you have experience with washing down comforters with them? I don't want to ruin these comforters.
Thanks for the input.

I have not used soapnuts, but I have washed our down comforters many, many times. I cannot imagine that soapnuts would hurt them. Some say that you need special cleaners, but I have always used whatever soap or detergent I was into using at the time. All have worked just fine, and none have damaged the down or the covering in the least. I wash in hot water too, to help kill any germs. Some say this is damaging, but it is simply not true.

So, use whatever temperature you like, and go ahead and use the soapnuts.
