Suggestions for containers to store homemade pasta gifts

I'm cheaping out and making stuff for folks this year. I've gotten to be pretty good at making pasta, so I thought that would be one gift. I also have a dehydrator, so I can dry up the noodles.

They aren't excessively fragile, but if I just tie a bow around a bunch of long noodles, they aren't gonna make it (some have to drive a long distance, and one set has to fly in a box). So my next thought is some long cylinderical glass containers. That sounds very nice, but the whole point is to cheap out, and I'm thinking if I go to Michaels, these are going to go from $4-10+ a pop (and I'm gifting to 4 families). And even then I'd consider it, but the chances of this container being appreciated after the pasta is gone is probably pretty low - so I don't want to spend anything that's going to get chucked or clutter up someone's house for no good reason.

Any other ideas?

What about those plastic storage cylinders that are meant for ritz crackers? You could make the pasta to the exact length to fit in the cylinder. The recipient would most likely find the cracker storage container useful once the pasta has been eaten. Just a thought.

Or, if you want to send a lot of pasta, what about a plastic box made to hold a box of regular crackers?
