yeh! i have 2 hands to type!!! my 10 yo is playing w/ teh baby (he's teaching him how to play the bongo drums..yeh, at 3 weeks! lol!). i RARELY get 2 hands to type anymore and 1 hand typing makes my wrists hurt.

i do read what is going on in these threads and try to respond but i just have such a hard time b/c i type w/o looking at the keyboard and w/ 1 hand, i cant do that.

Baby is gaining well. He was up to 10 lbs 4 oz at 1 week old after dropping down to 9 lbs 8 oz at 2 days old. We'll see his weight this coming Tuesday, but I can tell he's gaining as his thighs and upper arms are getting chubbier.

i think your son and mine were 2 of the larger babies. I am wondering (occassionally) if Zen is going to level out w/ my other 3 kids that were about a pound lighter. at 3 weeks, he's now 11 lbs. 2 ounces. I woudl have suspected him to be closer to 12 lbs. (we have a home scale that i weigh him on about once a week).
we had such a hard time w/ our son's name. We had 3 different middle names and wanted to use both our last name...something just had to go (of course it was my last name but i offered it up just to get the issue resolved).

you wont get flamed by me. i allow my kids to sleep however they are most comfortable, whether it is back, tummy, whatever....

Second thing - and this is really interesting - I ordered 2 nursing bras today from Bravado b/c I've heard they are really good bras. Well. I measured myself to make sure I ordered the right size. 36D?!? Holy crap. I've been wearing 36B! No wonder they feel tight!
Anyways, to chime in on the conversation - Nora HATES her carseat unless we are driving or taking a walk. If she's moving, she's ok with being in the seat itself. We have a Graco Snugride.
So, any advice how to get her back on track??

wow! im exactly opposite on the MW bill (though our insurance didnt cover it b/c well, we went rogue! lol! i just got another $800 bill from her and was expecting something around $300. Im just going to pay it b/c of course it was worth every penny but it was a bit of a surprise.
i really thought my boobs were as big as they were going to get with ds3 and the fact that i still nursed him during pregnancy. I was a 36 D then. NO???? 36 E. OMG...since it goes D, DD and then E, that is 2 cup sizes of growth. NONE of my shirts fit b/c they are all too short for my huge boobs and end up above the top of my pants. Im getting annoyed at it.
Zen isnt happy in his car seat even when moving. As much as I hate them, i have intro'd a pacifier for the car seat b/c i just cant handle the screaming and we dont have a choice...we have to go places. Being #4 definitely leads to a different type of parenting than when you are born earlier. I am feeling a lot of guilt about that too but I guess I have to deal with it (its cultural too..my mom is the QUEEN of guilt so i think i inherited it from her! lol!).
as far as geting back on track, I have an arrangement with a friend where we visit each other once a week for a few hours and the other one is able to do whatever they want for those few hours (her son is a year old and she just does NOT get a break). This week I went and Zen slept in the MT or in the bassinet the whole time. BIG MISTAKE. I was playing with my ds3 and her son so considered that a good thing but it was NOT. It was the ONLY night since his birth that he nursed more than once at night. So, my advice is to at least wake babies during the day every 2-3 hours to nurse. i usually say dont wake a sleeping baby (and definitely dont at night if weight gain is good) but considering how important sleep is to me, I do make sure Zen nurses every few hours during the day (its USUALLY not a problem...as he nurses more than once an hour for most of the day...small price to pay IMHO for the ability to have a good night's sleep).
