it was an amazing, very fast birth. i worked til 5pm that day, and ctx were about 5 mins apart by the time we sat down to dinner at 6pm. they were totally bearable til about 9:30pm, when i was needing to vocalize through them. i believe the midwife came around 10pm, and DH got home from work around then (thanks to my mom for calling them!). i never even had time to be checked - i can't believe how fast i dilated. i gave birth on my hands and knees on my yoga mat (i can't wait to tell my yoga teacher).
it was amazing, and not even very painful - i had a nice break between ctx and that helped me prepare for the next one......having my family around me and a wonderful MW created an unbelievable experience i will cherish forever. this was so very different than my hospital birth (induced) with DS.
i haven't been on MDC since the birth - i am amazed by you mamas who can keep up! i see a lot of wonderful threads i have to catch up on and hope to do that soon. sending lots of love to the new mamas & babes and ELVs to those who are still due, i will be thinking of you.
