hi guys. sorry i've been mia. first i was in San Diego for the big conference that I run. While I was there my grandfather passed away and so on Wed I got a flight to PA to be with my family for the funeral. DH and DS drove down and most of my family was able to be here as well. Although sad, it's been nice to see everyone.
not much running to report, but have managed a mtn bike ride in PA. Hoping to get out today again before we drive back home. last night dh and I went to see the dave brubeck quartet and it was very cool. He's 88 years old, but definitely still has it. |
for you. I'm glad your family all got to be together though. I saw DB about 20 years ago and I remember my dad telling me how lucky I was because he was getting so old and probably wouldn't be touring much longer.|

I'm embarrassed to report some soreness from yesterday's 2 miles at 12:00 pace. Oh well, I guess it will come back soon enough!

All this nursing in sometimes awkward positions has really made my back and shoulders sore, so they could use some good strength training to help work out the kinks.

. I elected not to seed myself, although I could have been in L2 based on this week's 1/2 time. Two of my friends really want me to train with them to finish in under 2 hours, so I think I'll run with them in the race rather than go for a PR. And I'm actually pondering doing the full marathon at the Monumental next November, with hopes of Boston qualifying. Gulp. In my AG it's 3:50. I "think" I can do that.......

for your stress and the loss of your gf. You should totally get on Facebook, we have a dingo group, you know! My advice would mainly be to just check and double check your privacy settings when you're getting everything set up. The defaults aren't the highest level, especially on pictures. You can set them so everybody can see them, only friends, friends of friends, etc. I have mine set so only friends can see my stuff. Watch out, though, it's addictive!

DS was so extremely TWO today, and not in the cute way. Throwing things, hitting, etc. I took him to the playground just to get out of the house, and after four timeouts that didn't seem to phase him in the least, I was about to lose it. He did get better after his nap, but holy smokes, he was driving me nuts. Other stuff...nothing exciting to report. Just kind of settling back in... |
