Eman's, I did the same thing once to Eva. I didn't mean to scream, it just came out!
Hope the little one has gotten over her fright!

Free Ben & Jerry's! Free Starbucks! Hooray! :

Eman. I accidently slapped S's leg when she bit me once. I didn't mean to but it just sort of happened. I hope M is feeling better about it today.

ASF, glad your fridge is still working. I love google.

Dh took S to vote this morning at 7:30. I packed her a coloring book with crayons, a lollipop and she took her Belle doll. We were expecting it to take a while. Nope, he was home within 15 minutes! Guess the way to do it is to get up at the butt crack of dawn! Now I need to remember that next election day!

Last year Little S got that annoying little chair thing that all the kids pile in to. They love it, I hate it. He also got a xylophone and a drum.

Do you have something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Hasbro-Playsko...5826263&sr=1-1

We had a push toy that the children LOVED! Our's is currently on loan to my niece but S always asks if we can have it back. She loves that toy still!

s: So how long should I expect weather like this to last? It's so foreign to me! Will I need to even buy Philip a coat?
The weather will probably be like this for a couple more weeks. Or it could snow tomorrow. You never really know. You probably should buy Philip a coat if you plan on spending lots of time outside. Eventually it gets windy and cold and it'll last for a couple weeks or so.

Also, something to note about Albuquerque: if it snows and sticks to the pavement, the city shuts down, even if it's only an inch. We don't have enough salt machines. Oh and usually the snow that was on the ground in the morning, is gone by lunch. Every other year or so we get a lot of snow that clogs the city for a couple days. It's wonderfully fun since it rarely happens!

Wow Elm, it took me longer than that to read the ballot.

You should at least get a heavy fleece/light jacket. We don't use our snow jackets all that much.

ASF I'm asking for britle blocks for M. E was all about building, also "Little People" were a big hit for a while there.

My Eva had originally voted for McCain because of his white hair but this evening she informed me that she wanted Obama to be President because "He wants people to vote and I want to vote!"
Ana has remained loyal since the first time I showed her a picture of both candidates and she picked Obama. She "wuvs" him and no one else is allowed to "wuv" him.

: ds is crawling around the house saying "mamamamamama" and "blah blah blah blah" he CAN make consonant sounds!

um, i have more homework due tomarrow - can yall either answer here or pm me.

What was the biggest adjustments for you to married life?

thank you
ASF - I'd probably say it was learning to keep DH in the loop as far as what I was doing and where I was going. I was fiercly independent and always coming and going. Since I had been living alone for years, I wasn't used to having to tell someone if I was going out with friends after work, or whatnot.
So I had free Ben and Jerry's yesterday, pizza and a mixed drink, we decided we were either going to drown our sorrows or celebrate. Thankfully it was celbratory.

ASF, the biggest adjustment to just marriage? not kids? Since D fills in the completion of my missing parts there really wasn't any adjustment Or since we living in sin for so long there really wasn't any surprises except that platinum is heavier than you think. After some caffine and I get the kids off to school I'll think about it. But seriously marriage wasn't much of an adjustment, but the kids, holy moly.
The biggest adjustment to married life was losing my friends. I was married at 19. No one else was married. Somehow it was easier for them when we were dating and living together, but as soon as we were married, they felt they couldn't come over as often and that I couldn't go out as often. No clue why they felt that and I did try to let them know that that was not the case, but for what ever reason they could not be persueded otherwise.

I'm so happy about Obama. I voted for him, but don't tell dh because he thinks I voted for McCain. I know my husband and it was better to lie to him about it. He's not happy, but does think it's cool that our racist nation actually did vote for him and by such a huge amount. And he does like Biden so that's at least good.
thanks for the replies so far

emans - i am using "biggest adjustment of moving in" with dh since we lived together for along time before marriage

so far from men the most popular answer has been "nagging" followed by "less sex"

for women it has been "differing cleanliness standards"
Elm, Adam and I didn't even tell each other who we were voting for. I'm fairly certain he voted Obama/Biden though by how happy he was when they were elected.
I hadn't planned to but then he kept asking and so I just told him what he wanted to hear. Much easier and quieter.

Hi : I'm just really about the election and thought I'd pop in to express some glee!

peace: I went by Starbucks yesterday and it felt sooo wonderful to get a little treat just for me, rather than the dds!

Hope everyone's staying warm. I finally broke my laundry line streak and threw a load in the dryer this morning.
