The appointment went perfectly. Couldn't have been better. We're measuring 12 weeks+4 days, heartrate at 166, etc etc etc. We saw the chambers of the heart, the halves of the brain, hands, feet, stomach, bladder, back of the neck, the cord and the placenta, and I don't even know what all. I wasn't absorbing it b/c I was still in the "you mean it's still alive?" phase. But everything they looked at looked right. It was kind of funny because this was a nurse we'd never met who was a little blase about the whole thing--not that she wasn't nice, she was, just, she was totally expecting to see a live little critter, and she did, no surprise, while for DH and me it was just astonishing because of our history. So I'm laughing and crying and messing up the picture because my abdomen is shaking, and she's just, "yes, yes, and over here you can see the toes-- see toes?"

I'm still shaking from the stress of it all. I wanted to post but only had the energy for a few smilies, really.
I have been lurking this thread for an update.. I am SO incredibly happy for you!!

Seafox - lots of : that yours goes as well too!

We also had our NT scan today, the technician was not our fave one, so that was too bad. We couldn't really understand ours very much, she had a strong accent and a fondness for mumbling. We got to see fingers, arms, the cord, and the two halves of the brain. Apparently our neck fold measurement was very good, we just have to wait for the bloodwork. M is now off of her progesterone shots which she is soooo happy about. We go back to the clinic one more time and then we "graduate" to our high risk OB just before Christmas. I know some people get a little glimpse of the gender at the 12 week scan, but no such luck, will have to wait another few weeks ... Oh and I am always a big crying fool during the u/s!!

I am feeling super positive and we have started telling extended family, so far all good reactions. I can't believe that it is actually happening!!

I'm so glad it went well! It is amazing isn't it, to be able to see all of that. YAY for being off the shots, that must be a total relief for M! I'm still doing progesterone suppositories and they're annoying enough, I can't even imagine having to do shots.

I really think my symptoms are easing up and of course I am freaking out quite abit. I'm praying that it's just me worrying too much. But I honestly don't think that's it. I think I'm going to try to get in tomorrow.

I hope you get in to see someone soon. I'll be thinking of you.

I do think symptoms wax and wane though. My nausea was horrible for a couple weeks and I was taking meds a few times a day. I've not taken ANY in a few days now and I was worried this morning going to my appointment. Everything was totally fine though! Hopefully the same for you!

Cool! : I was thinking of getting one too. It would be nice to get some reassurances when I was panicking.

YAYYYY!!!!! : There's just nothing like it, is there...

Oh BTW Amy I meant to say that I had the same thing with my symptoms, at 10 weeks they just *poof* vanished and I FREAKED OUT (see earlier in this thread for proof!). But they gradually came back again, to the point where earlier this week at 12 weeks, I was throwing up again. Go figure. But I think we all tend to put too much emphasis on morning sickness and similar.

That is good to hear. Although I've just had this horrible feeling of dread since earlier in the week. I don't want to get my hopes up that everything is ok. Although I know my motherly instinct isn't so great as I was convinced we had lost the baby earlier on in the pg when I was having some bleeding/cramping issues. Maybe it really is just me being paranoid.
And I agree that we all probably do but a lot of emphasis on symptoms (I know I certainly do)..it's so hard not to though.
