I'm 42w+2d today. My OB wants to do a c/s on Tuesday if nothing happens by then. I had a c/s with DS so I can't be induced because it increases the risk of uterine rupture. So, I need to go into labor before then. I need all the positive energy I can get. Please send me some labor vibes. I really want to have this baby naturally.

I was totally in the same boat you're in right now. According to my LMP My EDD was Sept 30th. According to the scan it was Oct 4th. I had her on Oct 23rd. Almost nobody makes it past 43 weeks so take comfort in that. I wound up having a stretch and sweep on Oct 22nd and my water broke on its own a few hours later. So maybe you could try that since there is no (that I know of anyways) increased risk of rupture with this procedure.

Hang in there, I'm SO glad I waited by the way, she just wasn't ready to come out until then. She was only 7lbs 6.5 oz at birth. As long as your scans are good and the NST results are good there is no reason to pull the kid out of the oven early.

Thanks for the words of encouragements. I really need it. I saw my OB on Friday and I'm not even dilated and she can barely reach my cervix so she couldn't do a sweep. If I can dilate a bit, she'll rupture my membrane but so far nothing's happening.

I have been going for biophysicals twice a week for the last 2 weeks. My last one was Thursday and the liquid only measured at 7 and the minimum is 5, which is why my OB is starting to worry. I went for an NST yesterday and they said it was perfect. I have another biophysical tomorrow morning and I see my OB in the afternoon and she'll want to me to make a decision.

I really hope you go into labor before your "deadline." I had to have a consult with an OB on tuesday at 42w2days and was scheduled to come back the next morning at 5am to start an induction. But just 2 hours after that meeting, I went into labor. I was so excited!!! Unfortunately for me, my home/vaginal birth ended with an unforeseen emergency c/s, but I am glad I still went into labor on my own.

I think my body needed to get "scared" into labor at the thought of impending interventions. Wishing you labor vibes!!!!
