Elliot or Elliott?

DH is deciding that he might like a different spelling for DS. Which do you prefer? I don't know why this frustrates me that he brings this up when I'm 39 weeks pregnant, but it does!

Elliott strikes me as more of a last name. I'd go with Eliot or Elliot, personally.

Cute name.

Because of the double L... Elliott has always looked more... balanced (?) to me.

will he have a middle name?

i personally like the one t version.

His middle name will be Dmitry after FIL, but I figure you don't see the mn as often so I don't necessarily want to make it a deciding factor. Our last name has 1 l and 1 t in it as well and is 6 letters long.

Elliot -- using double t's seems feminine.

That has always been a boy middle name fav for me.

I prefer the single t version.

I personally like it Elliott. However, I MUCH more prefer Elliot to Eliot. (I think that the one "l" one "t" looks mispelled.)

I like the single t version as well.

Not in your DDC to had to chime in. Our DS is Elliot. I believe that Elliott is more commonly a surname. Personally I just preferred the way one T looked. Great name!!

Elliot looks better to me.. Elliott almost looks like somone hit the t button to many times.

i agree with Okimom. i like the one T version....eithe 1 l or double l looks fine to me. just the double t looks more feminine and like a typo imo

I prefer 2 ts...do a poll maybe!

We love that name but a good friend of DH's last name is Elliott and DH thinks it would make his head explode with pride thinking we named our son after him!

I prefer one T, though.
