On the 31st I went to the ER.......I was fine that whole day did have a cup of star bucks in the Pm and some wine earlier in the day..........I was watching U tube vids and next thing I know my head on the left side is feeling weird really weird not headache like but like a big hole was there and then my left nostril became blocked.........So I start panicking thinking I was having a blood clot or anurism..........I threw up on the way there.Once I got there I was shaking my head was numb very numb.....They told me I hyperventlated and had a panic attack ...........I told them I had a flu vax on the 22nd but they said if I was going to have a reaction to it I would have by now .........I told them my toes even feel tingly and such off and on at night and never have before and my headaches ugh............So I dont know what to think.......All I know is I thought I was going to not be around it really scared me..........

Ummm... it might really be a panic attack. Hugs mama! You may also be coming down w/ something, like a cold or the flu

Panic attacks to not cause numbness in limbs.....hard to say what it was. But I wouldn't automatically assume its is NOT from the flu shot. Reactions to vaccines CAN happen dyas, weks and even months later. No MD will admit to that so its not suprising they told you it was not the shot. I hope you feel better!

Never heard of a panic attack clogging up sinuses. But the fear of death is a classic sign.

Maybe you had a toxic mental reaction to the physical reaction. I had this after my oral surgery from the drugs. Basically, everyone thought I was having panic attacks, but it was a reaction to the de-tox.

It could very well be a reaction to a vaccine (I was fully vax'd as per the wishes of my mother, but I don't believe in the flu vax). However, I had an episode of hyperventilation a few months ago. I go nauseous, had a headache, and my hands became so numb and tingly I could no longer move them. I was off in lala land... way freaky. It sounds very similar to what you experienced...

I have had similar feelings due to extreme emotions...I once got so worked up and overly emotional (the gasping sobs) that I began hyperventilating, my lips, fingers, and toes got all tingly...I got a major head/sinus ache... It took me hours to recover from that. So it could certainly have been some kind of emotional attack. It's only happened to me once before, and I never care for it to happen again!

Take it easy, and listen to your body. Are you possibly coming down with something?

Sounds like a panic attack to me.

I had something very similar while @ work one day. Fortunately, the ED was about 100 ft away! I had a head CT I know, don't remember much else.

For me, the cause was a bad combo of very little sleep (7 month old up 4-5 x a night) working 12 hour shifts, dehydration, stress (my deteriorating marriage) and a whole lotta coffee.

Take care of yourself! I found that out the hard way!

Actually, they can. What happens is that blood gets diverted from the limbs to the major organs (heart & brain). The decreased blood flow to the extremities can cause numbness, tingling, cold and mottled skin. Think "fight or flight" response.

Sounds like you had a rough time. I hope you're feeling better.

When I was 19 I was raped, and I started having HORRIBLE HORRIBLE panic attacks. They were brought on FROM NOWHERE! I would get out of work get into my car, start driving down the road and all of a sudden I couldnt breath. No matter how hard I tried I couldnt take a deep breath! And then my heart started racing and my arms went numb! I was scared to DEATH that I was having a heart attack at 19!!! I pulled over one of the times in my car, dialed 911 and told them I thought I was having a heart attack or something. The ER doc asked me if I ever thought I had panic attacks and I was like "UM NO?" But I had NEVER known what they were.... So he explained it to me, and once he told me all the symptoms I had realized that I was DEF having them! I went on some medication for 1 year, did some counseling and was so much better. I went off the meds and to this day I havent had a panic attack. AND ALOT has gone in my life, I DO still have some serious anxiety... but it doesnt escalate to full out breathing problems and numbing arms! So if you think for a second that it could be, really look into help... dont be embarrased!!!!

I hope you feel better! Hugs to ya!

I think it sounds like a panic attack, for the most part, but there is the initial feeling that you were responding to. Do you ever get migraines?

It seems to me you do actually have panic attacks. I am having the same symptoms and sometimes I too feel numbness a tingling feeling in my legs. Terrible feeling I must say...

Yes, they do. Panic attacks cause hyperventilation which causes numbness and tingling in the extremities.

Okay, this is what I was going to post.

OP- I hope you're feeling better, I know how rough anxiety can be.
