Slippers for Men?

My DH has requested slippers for Christmas. I'm looking for something warm and comfy and not too expensive.

Any of you men have slippers that you love? OR women- does your DH love his slippers? I'd love some suggestions!

I like LL Bean's "Wicked Good Slippers" but the price is my whole Christmas budget for DH...

What is your budget?
My DH has two pairs. This one: http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_d...45524442619876 but with a shorter cuff. We got them a few years ago, and they are definitely *not* sexy, but are very, very warm. REI is the American equivalent to MEC, and I'm sure they have a similar item. Hyperloft or primaloft would be cheaper than actual down fill too.
He also has a pair of Acorn slippers. These ones: http://www.acorn.com/product_detail....9&StyleCD=0352
He loves them, but when it's really, really cold, he always pulls out the down booties. The Acorn stuff is more expensive too, but I can't remember how much more expensive! Totally not helpful, hey? I think I paid about 30$ for them, almost two Christmases ago. They still look brand new though, which is especially remarkable when you take into account the fact that we wear slippers for a good six+ months of the year (cause winter lasts that long here!).

Don't know if you knit but in case you do, I made my DH some Felted Clogs and they look awesome.

Last year, I bought these http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000X9CPPG/...G&linkCode=asn
for my DH for Christmas. I found them at a sporting goods store on sale ($20). They seem to go on sale every year before Christmas- maybe try looking through the ads.

I'm thinking $15-$20. But I'm not locked in. My whole budget for him is $50 and I'd like to wrap a couple other things too

I do knit, but I'm 99% sure he wouldn't wear those. Don't ask me why :

The worst part is that he is pretty picky about this, but can't express exactly what he likes/dislikes. I'd hate to spend a lot just to have him hate them.

You've both suggested different styles/kinds and that's good. The more I see the better a decision I can make! Thank you!

Those might work. I'll keep my eyes peeled! I'm pretty good at finding a sale! Thanks!

I saw some nice looking ones in Target. They reminded me of the LLBean ones.

I bought some at Land's End.

My ex is a slipper man. He loves to wear them instead of shoes...even to weddings.

What I have noticed is it doesn't matter so much about the material (to him) but the important thing is how well it is attached to the sole.

My suggestion is to really inspect the seam along where the sole attached. If it's only glued down, it has a greater chance of self-destructing.
