looking for chicken pox - Page 2

just subbing. I hear it's spreading in Peabody so I'm hoping it's heading to Boston.

I am glad you knew that when you posted justmama!

My inlaws are coming for Christmas and my MIL is very unhealthy so I can't have Tobias getting it when they are here...so we won't be coming now as the incubation period is 2-3 weeks.

However, if your children get cp, and you don't mind having cp playdates, can you let us know? Or anyone else who may be lucky enough to contract it from you?

Meanwhile, I think if people are going to come visit you they should bring you some food or goodies as I am sure you are not feeling well!

i'll definitely keep everyone updated. i've been trying to get cp for my kids for YEARS and it's just not as prevalent as it used to be. i am hoping they contract it and i know they would LOVE some playdates.

thanks so much.:

great, thanks for posting! I am in Warwick, and have a 2 year old Dylan, so we would love to share the pox if your kids get it.

We'd love to come to Warwick for...

cp and to bring you some food, or at least some time having someone else keep an extra eye on your kids while you rest up!

Keep us in the loop!

It's around here. 3 kids at my kids school in Sudbury, MA have it. We don't vax either.

Golden-
Are you aware of any sharing possibilities? I'm feeling like we'll never get it. Any info would be great.
Thanks!

No, in fact, they are so secretive at school about these types of things. I only know that is 3 children not in my 4 year old's class.

DS had overnight sleep-over with chicken-pocked friend. We do not vax, and it has been 10 days since, but nothing yet. Boston area, and we would not be opposed to a play-date if he gets it, yet take no responsibility for transmission of virus.

looking for a pox party for my 2yo boy
Day 14 after exposure and nothing yet. He does have a cold now, but no spots. Perhaps we will see something this week?

Anyone have the pox & willing to share?

I read on another list that it's going around in the Brookline (MA) area, but I missed the pox party.
Yeah, we would love to get in on a pox party too....

subbing - looking for it in western mass!
I've decided to bite the bullet and expose DD and pray I don't get pox. I'm going to do everything I can to support my immune system during the incubation period.

If anyone knows of pox, please let me know! I'm in Western MA (the Springfield area)

it was - LOVELY family btw, twin boys. the first son got them from a friend and had a mild case - we missed the opportunity to play w/the storms and holidays etc. Twin B has a nasty case. I missed 2 parties - the emails went to my spam folder so we went over on Fri afternoon - he wasnt really in a sharing/playing mood and many of the spots are crusted over so I'm not too hopeful but hey we tried. If nothing else, we met some new playmates and gave her immune system a boost right?

I'll post if we end up spotted but I'm not expecting anything.

I just got word tonight that a friend of my mother's has a daughter with confirmed CP in southern Maine. Am going up with my 5 year old DD tomorrow – it's the last day she's contagious so I found out just in time. I am in the north shore Boston area and willing to share if we get it... you guys will be the first to know!

If you bring it the the Boston area I'll bring it to the Providence area. Gotta spread the pox love

We would love some Providence pox. Since I had cp as a child it's fine to be exposed while pregnant, correct?

Yes. We (wishfully) thought ds had it at one point and a pregnant friend freaked. So we did some quick research and yeah- you're safe.
