Coastal CT (Milford) looking for CP too!!

Please keep posting! We will travel if needed - I have a 1.5 and 4.5 year old. Would love to catch them this winter.

We also have an awesome MD/Homeopath in Norwalk that will treat unvaccinated (he is pro-no vaxing!!!) cases, and any other dx's, if anyone is interested.

I don't think it's too early - I think some say it's a good age to do it...
Don't take my word for it though - I'm certainly not an expert!!!

I exposed my son when he was 15 months. I think he never got it because I breastfed. Just an fyi.

Hoping to try once more when they head this way again.

I *personally* wouldn’t bother trying for a 6mo. If you’re nursing and have had cp, chances are good that your maternal immunity will prevent his getting it. OR that he’ll get it and it will be such a mild case that he’ll get it again later.

Since the later is what I’m trying to prevent by not getting the vax I’d avoid the possibility.

Fwiw, dd has been exposed several times <2yo and never got it – I think b/c she was still nursing quite a bit. I myself had it 2x as a child- once at 6mo and the other at 5yo when my entire class got it.

I also exposed my son twice last winter, and he didn't get it - he was over a year old, but I think he was still nursing too much. He's two now and nursing much less, so if anyone has it anywhere near the Western Mass area, I'm looking for it again this winter!

My DD got a really good case of it when she had just turned 1, she was nursing a lot at the time! It can and does happen. I got it at 2 months, being ebf.

ETA: Oh yeah, I am looking too! On the cape.

Mayree, where are you geopgraphically? Here's hoping for the pox! And thanks for your willingness to share! Cheers, Carolyn

Ooo! Good luck!

Mayree, also wondering where you are located?

still not sure...

My dd has no spots but has classic symptoms (unfortunately they are also symptoms of the flu). If she gets spots this week, I will post and maybe can share this weekend. I am in Lynn, MA.

Ooh, hopefully it's not the flu. Whatever it is, I hope she recovers quickly.

I'm in Western Mass and also looking for pox for my 2 year old DS. He is still nursing some, but I'm willing to try anyway. And I'm preggo, but had a good case as a child and had my titers checked a year ago or so and I'm immune.
