Well, welcome November and hopefully everyone remembered to change over their clocks before work / school tomorrow!

Anyone have snow? There really is none here in Anchorage. We had some snow first week of October but it melted and blew away.

How was everyone's Halloween? Kids go trick-r-treating?
Ours did. They had a great time cruising the neighborhood and brought back tons of candy! LOL

We had Huck Finn, fairy princess, a teenager dressed in black and Dr. House! LOL

you posted one day too early... we got a couple inches today at our house, how about yours? hope it sticks- I love how light everything seems when there is snow on the ground- really makes a difference

our crazy neighbor was once again handing out 3 pound bags of m and m's from costco... other than that though, got a reasonable amount, let them mow through a bunch of it this weekend and now we're on to the slowly chuck the rest so they don't notice plan.
dd1's birthday is tomorrow and we're going out to dinner and then having her party on Saturday, so it's not like we'll be without any sweets

anyway, don't forget to VOTE tomorrow!
I'm going right after I drop dd2 off at preschool before my day gets too crazy.

ETA: Tammy is that a prescription bottle in the middle of the halloween haul? who's handing out the happy pills in your neighborhood!??!

We didn't do much T.O.Ting at our house. We just hit our close neighbors house (because they wanted to see the munchin) and then packed up to go to her party at the karate place. She wanted to go so bad that she said she didn't even need to T.O.T. if she could go
She had a blast.

I've been so stinking busy lately. I feel like I'm just chasing my tail ALL.THE.TIME. This whole trying to help hubby with the business, run Em all over for her activities and try to keep the house in one piece is really just not working lately. It doesn't help when I drive to Anchorage to do interviews yesterday and not a SINGLE person showed up.
People suck

That is lame. At least they saved you the hassle of proving their unreliability BEFORE you hired them

That is what I keep telling myself. That I've been spared from having a classroom full of students alone. Still ticks me off LOL

Like hubby says.... if owning your own business was easy... everybody would do it.

Yes, that was part of my Son's costume! He was Dr House so I loaded up an old Amoxicillan(sp?) bottle with tictaks but the full effect! LOL

It did snow on Monday! Yippee! Of course the Bronco does not have winter tires yet and that is what I am driving to work! At least I have 4 wheel drive, it prevents me from sliding totally out of control at least.

I voted on Saturday and had a 1 hour wait. Glad I did it early. My guy won!

I know most of you aren't in SE, but I'm wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with Dr. Wagoner in Juneau. I think she's our only OB/GYN.

I've hit the 12+ TTC mark and I suspect endo so I'd like to see someone more specialized than my family doc. Any suggestions?

Does Purity Lake have a new user name- I tried to send a pm, but it went nowhere? I saw her post on the pet forum, and we just adopted some new parakeets, so I have some Alaska parakeet mama specific questions!

(well, anyone can chime in actually).

anyway, we are going to the vet on Saturday.

One is blue/yellow with a long tail, the other is green

The have a cage with some toys.
No nesting box.
Very little seed left.

We are going shopping for them this afternoon (obviously!). Any deals out there I should look for? Any recommendations? I have no idea about their age/health (that's why we are going to the vet), but I am trying to be a good adoptive mom!

We are finally getting some more snow! I'm actually a bit excited about it!

And my master bath will hopefully be finished in the next few days. Andrew started the painting tonight, so it will hopefully be done tomorrow night and then they can get the rest of the stuff in there. Will be so nice to not have everyone using one bathroom.

I was researching parakeets, and a lot of people say that the "starter kits" are too small of cages for two birds.

Our cage says "starter kit" on the bottom.. ah, well..

Sorry for the ridiculously short notice, but this evening there will be a meeting for EC mommas (and pappas & babies) in Anchorage. That's elimination communication for those on abbreviation overload. Wednesday 11/12 from 5-6pm at Kremer Chiropractic* at the NE corner of 36th and Denali. (*Kindly hosted by Dr. Jessica Allen). If you are interested in trying EC, already are or just want to learn more please come.

If you can't make tonight, or if you are reading this after the meeting, feel free to contact me via pm for more information about future get-togethers.

well, we rescued one of them and never intended on keeping it. Then got the other to keep the first company. I'd love for them to have a new home.

PM me if you want to discuss it more.
