There is a park on 15th right near where it turns into Debarr. There is a great hill there.

Guess who I saw at McDonald's playland in Spenard yesterday?

Mark and Jacob Begich. I shook his hand and congratulated. Dp wished him luck in the new job on his way out.

Only in Alaska! (although my sister DID see Dick Cheney in Italy once).

Just moved to Anchorage

Hello ladies. I'm new to Alaska, and thought I'd drop in and let you know you've got another mama in your tribe. My family and I moved to Fort Richardson from Fort Hood, TX. We got here mid-November and are just now settling into our home. My husband is an Army Chaplain. I'm a massage therapist (very part-time), and a mom to my ds Will (very full-time)! Our next little one will be here in June. I'm thrilled to be in Alaska, and will probably have a lot of questions. So... basically this is a "hey, y'all!" Happy belated Thanksgiving!

Welcome GloriLynn! Having fun with the snow?! :

We usually end up at the Service High School hill for sledding... I don't know what the difference would be for big vs little kids though- it's fairly steep.

I rarely am able to go to the movies anymore but just treated myself to seeing Australia, by myself. It really reminded me why I am madly in love with Hugh Jackman lol. And now he has a beard so he's even better! What an awesome movie. I am glad I saw it on the big screen instead of waiting. Wow.

1stimestar- glad that got a good review. I was wondering.

I went and saw Twilight the other day. Pretty excellent, but then I read the whole series so.. I was a little biased..

ok- someone please tell me if this is a real deal or not.. I have all boys and we have been thinking about going one more try for a girl.. I was at a party the other day and some girls told me about a program you can do in Anchorage (they named some fertility clinic or something but I don't remember the name)..

You can pick up a "couples kit" of some kind. Bring in the "sample" within like 30 minutes. They will stick it in the centrifuge for you (to separate the girls from the boys) and either give it back to you or else apply it for you with an exam type deal.

94% success rate of giving you the gender of the baby you want. Cost- a couple hundred bucks..

That's what this girl at the party said. I am a little skeptical of that, but interested! Anyone know??

i have not heard of that. I have heard gender selection with IVF though. Hmmm........

You might also look into The Shettles Method. I used it and got what I wanted both times. Of course, it's not a guarantee.

Mine are all Shettles "successes", though we weren't really trying for either for any of them.
