I'm glad you didn't take the CO - if your body isn't ready it wouldn't have helped anyway, and might have put your sweet LO at risk.

Still no babe. 8 days over. It would be so nice to just have my water break spontaneously like last time- although I know that's technically not ideal, it would just rock my world.

I knew it was bad when I started fantasizing about my crochet hook. Even though I would have never given myself an amniotomy, I couldn't help thunking about it.

I was only three days overdue and feeling the pressure so I can only imagine what you mamas are feeling! Sending strong and easy labour vibes .

I can't remember who quoted Gloria Lamay and am too lazy (aka nursing at the keyboard) to go back and look...I agree with the sentiment in what she wrote but at the end, I'd ask her for the references that show that CO is aborbed my baby's intestines and that they will get diarrhea...I've only ever heard of one study and I've NEVER been able to get my hands on it nor has anyone who quotes it been able to provide me with a copy...it is like an urban legend.

As for anectdoal evidence, after seven years with no clients choosing to use CO, this year three women did. NONE of them had a bad experience and all of them told me that they wished they had done it sooner. Go figure!
