Supplements while on TED?

Sorry if this has been asked and covered before, but I don't have much time to hang out here because I am tending to a VERY unhappy baby. My three week old DD has very green, mucousy poops and we've found blood a few times. My pediatrician's office doesn't seem concerned (I only ever get someone on the phone who seems to know nothing about nursing issues...), but I cut the dairy out over a week ago now and did notice some improvement. But now she is miserable again and had eczema on her face and had a three or four hour crying jag last night because she was really uncomfortable and gassy. Anyhow, I am going to just go for the TED, I think, because I don't want to waste time eliminating one potential allergen at a time. My questions is: what supplements do I need to be taking while on TED. I take a rainbow light prenatal right now, but assume I will need others. Does DD need to take anything? I did read through the TED thread and see something about pro-biotics, but I didn't really understand....anyhow...I have to go--baby calling! TIA for your responses.

With a 1 week old baby and green poops, my first thought would be oversupply/ foremilk/hindmilk imbalance. If this is the case, or even if it's one part of the problem, you can see improvement in a matter of days, while cutting out allergens can take a while to see improvement. Have you heard about block feeding?

If you do decide to go ahead with the TED, you need to be careful that your supplments don't contain anything the baby might be reacting to. Most people use no supplements when starting the TED then introduce supplements slowly and carefully the same way they introduce new foods.

I did actually try block feeding (because searches about green poop did yield info on front/hind milk imbalance), but it doesn't seem to make a difference....I was hoping it would. Thanks for reminding me that supplements have additives--I forgot about that!
