Quick help - what is "turn"?

I am trying to make this baby bootie pattern, and on row 19 it says:

Row 19: Sl 1 st knitwise, k 28, ssk, turn.

What does turn mean? How do I do that? I still have a lot of stitches left on the left needle... I am confused. And I googled and can't figure out for the life of me how to do this.

Please help, O Awesome Knitter Ladies of MDC!

It sounds like "Short Row Shaping" Google that.

You will turn even though there are stitches left. Once the pattern instructs you to knit those stitches again you'll have a little angle (I'm guessing that it is the heel of your bootie)

ETA: just noticed you had a link to the pattern! It is Short Rows to shape the toe and top of the foot of your bootie.

Just to add, "turn" means literally switch hands with the needles so you begin knitting with three stitches already on your right needle.

Thanks ladies!! That really helped. I'm going to have to start over because my beastie baby decided to rip the yarn off the needle and eat it when I wasn't looking, but at least now I'll know what to do in advance
