for those who have ordered from DRD...

How long did it take you to receive your kit? Also, the initial email says to "check order status" click on the link provide. Mine has nothing listed for "order status" or "tracking." Those fields are blank. Does that mean it hasn't shipped yet?

I *still* have not received my DRD kit that I ordered on 10/22/08. In Amy's initial email, she said she would be gathering my supplies for shipping the next day.

I have not received the kit, and after 8 days I called and emailed. No reply.

Then at 10 days, I emailed again. No reply.

I just sent another email. I'm at my wits end as I've already missed a weekend of work time.

According to her site, the kit ships within 3 days and is sent priority mail within 3-4 days. So the upper end of the time would be 7 days. I'm at 13 days right now.

My emails are essentially begging for a reply at this point. My mom has already started sewing clothes for this doll and I am a beginner who needs plenty of time to sew the doll before Christmas.

I really don't understand why she isn't responding, since the first email was so prompt.

Frustrated,
Beth

Sorry you haven' heard back from Amy, yet. That IS a bit unusual. She is a WAHM with three young dds and she does put her family first. Can't fault her for that. I'm sure she will get back to you before long.

Don't fret- you have still got plenty of time to get a doll finished for the holidays.

I got mine in 3 days. She was out of town and had someone filling orders for her. As a result, there were a couple of mistaken items in my order. They were promptly remedied at no cost to me when I emailed about the wrong items. That is unusually long, so there must be a unique situation causing the delay. Hope all turns out well! I know it is hard to wait to get started on those cute dollies!

she finally wrote me back tonight. she said that my email was in her spam and she did not check her voicemail until now.

the kit is just now being shipped tomorrow. there was some coordination issue between her and her assistant.

I'm just relieved to have gotten a reply.

In other news, I received the undyed playsilks I ordered from Dharma Crafts today and dyed them tonight based on directions from this site that another mama posted:
http://www.make-baby-stuff.com/homemade-toys.html

It was amazingly easy and they are SO beautiful. So I'm in a better mood now know that my kit has been located and is being mailed tomorrow, and that my playsilks are done and ready for Christmas :

she needs to get gmail or something. that is crazy to be losing emails in a spam box. at the very least, confirmed orders need to have their email addy added to the address book. obviously there are still things that need sorted out over there, and I'm sure that holiday season is probably the worst time to tackle them, but also the worst time to lose business.
