Kathleen is very nice. If you like her so far and y'all communicate well, you will probably be very happy. The key is really to just talk, talk and talk. Tell her your ideal birth, ask her what to expect from her, ask her what she expects from you, bring up concerns etc. You can even ask her about why some might consider more medically minded if that concerns you and have her explain why she practices the way she practices. She can also go over her basic protocols if you would like her to. (I think that is great advice not matter who your careprovider is.)
I doudt it is possible to find a midwife that everyone loves, but you only need to find one *you* will love. Since everyone is different and has different expectations for birth, different midwives will work better for different people. Just b/c she wasn't the best midwife for someone else doesn't mean she isn't right for you.
